Multi-Engine Rating

Summary

Title: Multi-Engine Rating

Prerequisites: Private Pilot Licence or Commercial Pilot Licence

Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time

Intake: Continuous

Duration: 1 month (Depends on student schedule)

Cost: Approximately $6,000 (plus HST if applicable)

Program of Study

The Multi-Engine Rating includes a flight training component. There are no Transport Canada minimum number of hours required but a typical student completes the program in 8-10 flying hours.

There is no ground school or written examination requirement for the multi-engine rating. Your instructor will conduct a one-on-one briefing regarding multi-engine flying techniques and human factors considerations to meet the requirements of the flight test guide.

Payment Schedule

Due to the large costs associated with flight training, MAG Aerospace Canada does not expect students to pay tuition fees upfront or in large installments. MAG Aerospace Canada utilizes the “Pay-Per-Lesson” method, where the student settles their invoice after each lesson. Please contact us for up-to-date pricing.

Graduation

Students graduate the program when they have demonstrated adequate flying proficiency to their instructor and passed a flight test with a Transport Canada certified Flight Test Examiner.

Enrollment

Enrollment for this program is continuous, meaning students can start flight training toward the Multi-Engine Rating at any time. However, MAG Canada does not generally do these ratings between April-August because of the aircraft being committed to aerial wildfire detection contracts.
